Crispy crackers from wonton skins

It originated from Dong Zhi, China. During the era of Han Dynasty, a tribe called Xiongnu likes to disturb the peace of the local villages. The leaders of the tribe had "Hun" and "Tun" as their surnames. Because of the hatred towards the leaders of Xiongnu, the locals put some fillings (meat usually) into dough wrapper and named it "hun tun". They hope by eating them, they could gain their peace back. Wonton in general is no difference than dumplings. flour, salt, oil
